Preschool Relief Aide (3 hour) 

Chesterfield School District seeks (3) permanent Preschool Relief Aides for placement at Chesterfield Elementary School for 3 hours per day.

Qualifications:

1. High School diploma/equivalent.           
2. Ability to relate well to parents and staff.
3. Skill in working closely with preschool students.
4. Demonstrate potential for growth, creativity and flexibility.

Reports To: Supervisor of Early Childhood & Building Principals

Responsibilities:

The Preschool Relief Aide will supervise and oversee daily in-class lunch and rest time within each preschool classroom.

The Preschool Relief Aide will serve the school administration, teachers, and students in the implementation of the Early Childhood educational program and other duties so that the performance of the classroom, school, and playground, is orderly, safe, and efficient.

Applicants must be capable of:

• Working directly with teachers/staff to follow Early Childhood Best Practices including, but not limited to, supervision and support during children’s daily dining and rest time procedures.
• Interacting with and supporting children throughout the daily routine.
• Upholding all state standards regarding the organization, cleanliness and sanitation of the classroom.
• Physically lifting small children, bending down to sit at the children’s level, stacking cots, and participating in light indoor/outdoor activities. 
• Assist children with toileting and changing clothes, as necessary.

Rate of Pay

$16.56/hour
