Description The North Plainfield School District, a culturally diverse school district in Somerset County serving 3,700 students Pre-K through grade 12, seeks a dynamic, enthusiastic and innovative professional for the position of Dual Language Preschool at Stony Brook School.

For those still in the process of attaining certification, please know that the North Plainfield District is approved for participation in the NJDOE Limited Certificate Program which may allow you to work in a full time role as you complete your final certification requirement.

Qualifications Include:

P-3 certification
Ability to speak, read and write in Spanish
Knowledge of child development practices
Knowledge of the Pyramid Model for supporting social emotional competencies in young children
Experience with the Creative Curriculum
Experience utilizing the GOLD assessment tool

Responsibilities Include

Utilizing the Creative Curriculum and Best Practices for Dual Language Learners to maintain a nurturing, challenging and engaging preschool learning environment
Planning for individual learner needs inclusive of academic and social emotional domains
Developing and maintaining family and school relationships
Working collaboratively with preschool team to provide a supportive and responsive preschool environment
