DESCRIPTION: 12 month District Data Analytics Manager position
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid New Jersey Supervisor or Principal Certificate
- Minimum experience as determined by the board
- Demonstrated leadership in school improvement, program development and curriculum integration and application of technology across the curriculum
- Ability to plan, organize and administer professional development program for staff
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively convey data findings to diverse stakeholders in a clear and accessible manner.
- Experience working with educational data (e.g., test scores, attendance, disciplinary records) and familiarity with educational policies, curriculum, and assessment practices.
- Familiarity with data management principles, data quality assurance, and data governance within an educational context.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadline
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and data integrity when working with large datasets.
- Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
- Current residency in New Jersey, approved residency waiver or candidate agrees to obtain residency within one year of employment

JOB GOAL:
The Data Analytics Manager will play a crucial role in improving academic achievement and student outcomes by analyzing various datasets, including school test scores, attendance rates, disciplinary data, and other relevant information. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data analysis, statistics, and data visualization within an educational context. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage data insights and drive positive change in our school district, ultimately contributing to the success of our students.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze and interpret educational data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that impact academic achievement and student outcomes within the school district.
- Collaborate with school administrators, teachers, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights that support evidence-based decision-making and strategic planning.
- Develop clear and visually appealing reports, dashboards, and presentations to effectively communicate data findings and recommendations to a diverse audience of stakeholders, including school administrators, teachers and parents.
- Conduct in-depth research and data exploration to uncover factors that contribute to student success or areas requiring improvement, providing valuable insights for targeted interventions and program evaluation.
- Stay up to date with the latest research, trends, and best practices in data analysis and educational research, and apply this knowledge to improve data analysis methodologies within the school district.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in data collection, analysis, and reporting, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and data protection policies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including curriculum developers and instructional coaches, to integrate data insights into the development and refinement of educational programs and initiatives.
- Provide training and support to school staff on data-related topics, such as data interpretation, visualization, and analysis, fostering a data-informed culture within the district.
- Continuously evaluate and refine data analysis processes, identifying opportunities for automation, standardization, and efficiency gains.
- Oversee management & communication of data for the LinkIt! platform as well as any others utilized by the district.
- Facilitate PLC meetings on data literacy and analysis.
- Performs other related duties as may be assigned by the Superintendent and/or designee
ANNUAL EVALUATION:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with NJ State law and the provisions of the board’s policy on evaluations.
REMUNERATION:
Remuneration will be in accordance with the Board of Education.
