Description Livingston Public Schools has an immediate opening for a full-time-tenure track, Teacher of Spanish at Livingston High School effective April 21, 2025. Individuals from underrepresented groups are encouraged to apply. Salary will be commensurate with experience and the LEA salary guide, which can be found on our employment page (www.livingston.org). This position is benefit eligible (medical/dental/Rx, tuition reimbursement). No phone calls please. EOE.

Responsibilities:

  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes language acquisition and cultural understanding.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students and provide additional support or enrichment as necessary.
  • Assess student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, and provide timely feedback to students and parents/guardians.
  • Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents/guardians to support student learning and development.


Qualifications:

  • New Jersey State Certification in Spanish (K-12) or eligibility for certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Spanish language (native or near-native fluency preferred).
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and culturally responsive learning environment.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, and families.
