Academy360 Upper School, a program of Spectrum360, is actively seeking a Board Certified Behavior Analyst interested in a classroom teacher position to join our program.  For more than 50 years, Spectrum360 has been developing the academic, social, behavioral, communication, life, and career skills of children, adolescents, and young adults with autism and related disabilities.  The BCBA as teacher role will include: using assessments (Essentials for Living and Assessment of Functional Living Skills) to develop individualized instructional programming for students, implementing skill acquisition programs using behavior analytics teaching methodologies, preparing and presenting at Annual Review meetings, and overseeing the behavioral programming of students in an assigned class.  

 

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Must hold an NJ State License TOSD (Teacher of Students with Disabilities) or TOH (Teacher of the Handicapped) AND have current certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a BCBA 
                                                                                   OR
    NJ State License TOSD (Teacher of Students with Disabilities) or TOH (Teacher of the Handicapped) AND have current certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board as a BCABA
  • Knowledge of behavioral interventions formulated through functional assessment
  • Effective and professional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data collection and written format for students’ individual behavior plans
  • Maintain high standards for teaching and learning
  • Ability to plan and deliver individualized and group lessons based on student assessment data
  • Ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of people by speaking and writing 
  • Ability to collaborate with a team of teachers, related service providers, and families
  • Possess a strong willingness to learn and actively participate in professional development
  • Contribute to a positive school climate
  • Possess advanced classroom management and behavior modification skills
  • Successful experience working with teens and young adults on the autism spectrum
  • Required criminal history check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status
