COMPUTER TECHNICIAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST - PEQUANNOCK TOWNSHIP SCHOOL DISTRICT
QUALIFICATIONS: High School graduate/GED required, College Degree or Industry Certifications preferred, demonstrated successful experience in computer technology support and maintenance, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, willingness to learn all facets of Educational Technology, valid driver's license.

JOB GOAL: Assist Chief Technology Officer and Network Administrator in maintenance upgrades, troubleshooting, and repair of computers and peripherals, software, local area networks, wide area network, and other technology systems throughout the school district.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist Chief Technology Officer and Network Administrator in all facets of technology systems maintenance.
- ?Troubleshoot hardware problems on a variety of different computer platforms, including but not limited to PCs, Apple Macintosh, and Chromebooks.
- Diagnose problems, order parts, repair equipment as needed, and coordinate authorized factory/warranty repair.
- Transport, install, and set up new computer equipment, equipment returning to users after repair, or equipment being relocated to within the district to different users. Pick up and deliver equipment to all district locations.
- Maintain practical knowledge of system software including Microsoft Windows 11 and beyond; Microsoft Windows Server 2016 and beyond; Apple MacOS & iOS; Chrome OS and other software.
- Attend training off-site as determined by the Chief Technology Officer.
- Install software applications and operating systems as needed throughout the district.
- Provide basic assistance on occasion to staff regarding the proper use of hardware and system software.
- Provide support for the intra-district WAN (Wide Area Network) as directed by the Network Administrator.
- Maintain drivers, utilities, patches, version upgrades, and other necessary software items needed to perform the day-to-day functions of the job.
- Other related assignments and duties are to be performed as assigned.
- Routinely lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds
- ?Knowledge and experience with Apple MDM and/or JAMF is a plus
- Knowledge and experience with Active Directory a plus
- Possible additional stipend for livestreaming BOE meetings and other after school events
- ?Knowledge and experience with AV equipment and livestreaming a plus
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12 Month position appointed annually. This job description shall be subject to and consistent with the terms and conditions of employment as set forth in the collective bargaining agreement between the Board and the Pequannock Township Education Association. A salary will be paid in accordance with provisions in the agreement noted above.
