Community School - Summer Camp Counselor - Summer 2025

REPORTS TO:  Camp Director/Section Leader

Dates of Camp:  June 16 - August 8, 2025

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Prior experience as camp counselor or relevant role
  • Experience working with children
  • High School Graduate

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Counselors assist Camp Director & Section Leader in constant supervision of the campers, maintaining their safety, organizing, interacting and helping run activities and providing a fun environment. Counselors will also participate and assist in various activities such as arts & crafts, and playing during indoor & outdoor games.  Counselor will attend all trips and ensure the group stays on schedule, all while maintaining campers safety.  Counselors are to be positive role models and motivate campers to enthusiastically participate in all camp activities and events.  Potential counselor must have graduated from High School. Counselors are expected to work a minimum of 4 camp weeks (consecutive or non-consecutive).

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Monitor safety and security of group of students
  • Assist specialists & directors with camp activities for group
  • Attend all group camp trips/assemblies
  • Any additional tasks as assigned by the Section Leader, Director or Manager
  • Attend paid staff orientation meeting & family meet & greet prior to the start of camp 
*** PLEASE NOTE: Staff will be eligible for a camp tuition fee waiver for their child(ren).***
