Lower/Middle School Physical Ed Teacher 

Pioneer Academy is seeking a highly effective full-time Lower/Middle School Phys Ed Teacher to cultivate our students the critical thinking and problem-solving skills they will need to succeed in college. The successful candidate must be a highly enthusiastic individual and committed to the school's mission and vision.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver dynamic and interactive physical education lessons for elementary grades that align with the school's curriculum.
• Teach and reinforce fundamental motor skills, specific sports skills, and the importance of regular physical activity.
• Teach a Health Class aligned with the school’s curriculum.
• Organize and lead age-appropriate physical activities, games, and sports that cater to diverse skill levels and interests.
• Assess and evaluate students' physical abilities and progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
• Collaborate with other physical education teachers and faculty across disciplines to create integrated learning experiences.
• Stay current with trends in physical education and incorporate innovative approaches into the curriculum.
• Actively participate in school events, fitness challenges, and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 2 years of teaching experience.
• Passion for promoting physical fitness and a genuine desire to inspire young learners.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

This position is for the 2025/2026 academic year. Minimum 2 years of experience preferred. NJ certification is not required but preferred.
