Teacher of Social Studies - Grade 6
2024-2025
Effective Date: January 2025

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Elementary/Midde School Social Studies Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing lesson plans, instructing students, assessing student progress, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure student success.

Qualifications:

Strong foundational background knowledge in social studies required.
Valid Teacher of Elementary (K6) or
Teacher of Elementary along with co-certificate Middle School Social Studies Endorsement or
Teacher of Social Studies certificate is required

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the needs of students
Use a variety of teaching methods and techniques to engage and challenge students
Collaborate with colleagues to ensure that student needs are being met and to promote student success
Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge

Qualified candidates must have a commitment to multicultural education and demonstrate an ability to work harmoniously with diverse populations.
