JOB GOAL: To provide support services that promote all students' social, emotional, and academic growth. Promote student success by providing a prevention and intervention comprehensive school counseling program and by partnering with parents/guardians and school staff.
REQUIREMENTS:
Valid New Jersey School Counselor Certificate or School Social Worker Certificate
Master's degree in School Counseling or Master of School Social Work
Ability to effectively communicate and work well with students, staff, parents and
community members.
Strong analytical, communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to exhibit professionalism, confidentiality, and appropriate decorum in all situations.
The criminal history background check, proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status, and NJ residency or waiver within one year of employment are all required.
Meets alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
