JOB SUMMARY:
 
Serves as Chief Financial Officer for the BOE of Franklin Township School District. Keeps accurate and detailed accounts
of all financial transactions as prescribed by statue, administrative code and board
policy, including oversight of the preparation and development of the annual school
budget.  Supervises the collection, safekeeping, and distribution of all funds. 
Oversees the operation and maintenance of all school facilities, transportation, food
service program, purchasing, payroll, and all other business office functions. Acts as Board Secretary.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid NJ School Business Administrator Certificate
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a School Business Administrator in a NJ
    Public School District-preferably one year in a one school district
  • Understanding of the principles and practices of financial accounting and
    reporting procedures consistent with statute, code and GAAP requirements
  • Knowledge of accepted business practices in school districts related to budget
    preparation and administration, risk management, purchasing, transportation,
    food services, school plant operations and facility planning
  • Demonstrated organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • Qualified Purchasing Agent 
  • Certified Educational Facilities Manager
  • Certified Administrator of School Finance and Operations
