Job Title: Part-Time Custodial/Maintenance Worker

Job Overview: Thrive Charter School is seeking a dedicated and reliable Part-Time Custodial/Maintenance Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly environment for students, staff, and visitors. This position involves routine custodial tasks as well as basic maintenance duties throughout the school facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily cleaning of classrooms, restrooms, hallways, offices, and common areas.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and sanitize floors and surfaces.
- Empty trash receptacles and replace liners.
- Clean and disinfect restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure proper sanitation.
- Perform light maintenance tasks, including minor repairs and adjustments to building fixtures and equipment.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down furniture and equipment for school events.
- Monitor and maintain inventory of cleaning and maintenance supplies.
- Ensure all areas are secured and properly locked at the end of the shift.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Report any safety hazards, maintenance needs, or damage to school facilities promptly.
- Respond to emergency situations, such as spills or urgent repairs, as needed.
Qualifications:
- Black Seal License REQUIRED
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in custodial or maintenance work is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic knowledge of maintenance and repair procedures.
Work Hours:
- Part-time schedule, with flexibility to work evenings or weekends as needed.
