Description
Summer Accelerated Chemistry will meet:
June 23, 2025 to July 31, 2025 from 8:30 - 3:00 (Monday through Thursday)
One hour (total) will be provided for breaks and lunch
One hour of virtual office hours on Fridays at PHS (office hours will NOT be held on Fri July 4)
Qualifications: Appropriate NJ Teacher of Chemistry or Physical Science; Teaching experience preferred
Essential functions: Design and present a 6-week course as an in-person experience to prepare students to take AP Chemistry, Accelerated Chemistry or AP Biology in Fall 2025 targeting students who have been identified as having interest and potential for success in AP courses and rising 10th grade students who want to take the course to go directly to AP Chemistry or AP Biology and meet the requirements without the prior chemistry work. Stipend includes wages for 132 hours of instruction, 27 hours of lesson preparation and 4 office hours.
Stipend: Up to 2 Chemistry and/or Physical Science teachers, pending enrollment @
$11,680.00 per teacher
