Anticipated Vacancy for 2024-2025 School Year


EDUCATION:          High School Diploma
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.  Minimum five years of supervisory experience in supervision of plant facilities.
2.  Knowledge of and experience in labor contracts.
3.  Must hold a Black Seal License.
4.  Must hold a Certified Educational Facilities Manager certificate.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Directs, supervises, and evaluates the work of maintenance, custodial, and grounds personnel.
  2. Assumes responsibilities for responses to emergencies in the area of plant facilities.
  3. Recommends maintenance, custodial, grounds, and warehouse personnel for employment and dismissal.
  4. Prepares specifications for maintenance, custodial, and grounds goods and services to be bid or quoted and utilizes other personnel or sources as needed.
  5. Makes recommendations to the School Business Administrator for the acquisition of maintenance, custodial, and grounds purchases.
  6. Reviews purchase requisitions for varied operation and maintenance equipment, materials, and supplies for accuracy and suitability.
  7. Maintains records of all equipment and stock.
  8. Follows up on supplies and equipment returned to vendor.
  9. Prepares reports as directed by the School Business Administrator.
  10. Reviews work orders received from program managers and assures their completion.
  11. Oversees the work of contractors engaged by the District for construction and facilities maintenance.
  12. Oversees the purchase and use of supplies in the area of plant facilities to assure efficient and appropriate use of resources.
  13. Inspects buildings for safety and to determine maintenance needs.
  14. Prepares and oversees the budget in the area of plant facilities and offers recommendations for future budgeting needs.
  15. Conducts staff meetings to resolve problems and increase efficiency.
  16. Offers recommendations to the Business Administrator in the interest of efficient use of resources including recommendations for the negotiations process.
  17. Develops multi-year plans for the care of school facilities.
  18. Meets with principals and program managers for communication on matters relating to facilities maintenance.
  19. Implements the negotiated contract and communicates related concerns to the Business Administrator.
  20. Oversees the use of supplies and care of equipment to assure efficient use of supplies and safe and proper care of equipment.
  21. Assures District compliance with all Federal, state and local regulations in the area of plant facilities.
  22. Submits periodic reports as required including accident reports and payroll and personnel reports.
  23. Demonstrated good attendance and punctuality.


Terms of Employment:  Twelve (12) month, Non-Affiliated Employee
