Horizon Staffing Resources is seeking a qualified paraprofessional in Bridgeton, NJ for the current 2024-2025 school year. The open position ranges between 1:1 with a specific student or in-class support working with multiple students. The paraprofessional will boost student growth and independence while maximizing academic performance. Must be comfortable working with a student of special needs.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, approximately 8:45am to 4:15pm

Responsibilities:

• Provide instructional reinforcement for individual students
• Attend to students' physical, personal, academic, and emotional needs
• Assist student in daily living activities and behavior management
• Supervise student in the cafeteria, schoolyard, specials, hallways, and/or on field trips
• Support students with special needs by following provisions specified in their IEPs/504 Plans
• Perform other duties as directed by the classroom teacher and school administration.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent communication skills
• Must have experience in a relatable position
• Must have or be willing to get fingerprinted by the Board of Education.

Qualification Requirements 

• High School Diploma (required); or
• An Associate’s Degree or higher (preferred); or 
• Some completion of study at an institution of higher learning (preferred)
