Criteria:
- Places, receives and routes incoming phone calls and records messages
- Performs usual office routines; process incoming mail
- Types correspondance, notices, reports/ prepare principal's notices, memos and bulletins for distribution
- Maintains well-organized, up- to- date filing system, set of locked, confidential student files
- Operates all business machines necessary to complete reprots and clerical work required in for office operation
- Arrange meetings, prepares agendas and handles follow-up activities as needed
- Helps arrange appointments for the Principal in getting information requested and in freeing time of the Principal of as much routine clerical tasks
- Types all purchase orders
- Acts as initial liaison between Principal, Teachers, Parents and Students
- Maintains a daily teacher attendance and tardiness log and performs all tasks relevant to substitute teachers,
- Registers new students verifying required documents as set forth in board policies and district procedures (elementary/middle schools)
- Maintains confidentiality as required and appropriate
- Orders and maintains supplies as needed
- Performs other tasks related to the efficient operation of the office as assigned needed
