POSITION:          Anticipated - Supervisor of Non-Public Services
                            Twelve (12) Month Position

REBORTS TO:   
Director of Nonpublic Department

START DATE:    July 1, 2025 - Pending criminal history review

QUALIFICATIONS:
  •  New Jersey Supervisor’s Certificate.
  •  Knowledge of the Stronge Evaluation System.
  • Knowledge of auxiliary programs of Compensatory Educational, Supplemental Instruction, English as a Second Language, Speech Instruction, Nursing, Child Study Team services, entitlement programs.
  • Ability to implement effective staff evaluation and staff development programs.
  • Evidence of successful teaching experience and/or remedial teaching experience.
  • Knowledge of state and federal legislation, pertaining to nonpublic services.
  • Alternatives to the above qualifications as the commission may find appropriate.
SCOPE:
  • The Supervisor of Nonpublic Services develops and implements the delivery of auxiliary services to eligible students. Provides the observations and evaluation process required by state law, board policy and labor contract.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  •  Complete formal and written evaluations followed by conferences for all tenured and non-tenured auxiliary instructional staff as required by law, contract and Board policy.
  •  Conduct formal summary evaluations at the end of year with all teaching staff.
  •  Implement in cooperation with staff, the development of professional development plans. Monitors and provide guidance and suggestions for staff progress to completing PDPs.
  •  Initiate observations of instructional programs and consult with instructional staff. Respond to instructional staff, as needed, for assistance and program delivery, scheduling, teaching techniques and strategies, instructional management and record keeping.
  •  Monitor staff use of instructional resources and coordinate materials with program objectives.
  •  Coordinate purchase orders and maintain inventory of equipment and keys for staff.
  •  Monitor safety use and logging of safety checks, by staff, for vans, trailers assigned.
  •  Participate in staff development and in-service presentations, and provide curriculum assistance to administrators, teachers, parents and guardians.
  •  Other duties as delegated by the Superintendent.

EVALUATION:
  •  Performance of this job will be evaluated by the Director of Nonpublic Department in accordance with provisions of the board’s policy on evaluation of certified staff.

Minimum Salary:   $95,000
