Learning Disabilities Teacher / Consultant
Job Summary:
Ability to review case histories of referrals and present diagnostic evaluation of such referrals to the building/school administration.
Must have demonstrated knowledge of laws and regulations governing special education (N.J.A.C. 6A:14).
Ability to conduct assessments.
Demonstrates competence to effectively assess children's learning characteristics, design appropriate instructional strategies and plan educational programs.
Assume case management responsibilities.
Perform, as assigned by Superintendent or designee, all duties which are within the scope of employment/certification.
Requirements:
Valid
New Jersey Learning Disabilities Specialist certificate required.
Qualified candidates must have a commitment to multicultural education and demonstrate an ability to work harmoniously with diverse populations.
