| QUALIFICATIONS: |
- Valid teaching certificate or substitute certificate in New Jersey
- Ability to organize and supervise a total sports program
- Previous successful coaching experience
- Serve as a role model and mentor through his/her instructions and actions to promote the development and demonstration in student athletes the character traits of trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship.
- Knowledge of all athletic policies approved by the Phillipsburg Board of Education & NJSIAA
- Delegates specific duties, supervises implementation and evaluates effectiveness of all assistants
- Gives constant attention to a student athlete's grades and conduct
- Assists athletes in their college selection
- Responsible for maintaining good public relations with news media, booster club, parents, officials, volunteers and fans
- Successful completion of the Coaching Principles Course and First Aid/CPR/AED.
- Required criminal history background check
