Valid NJ Department of Education Certification and NJ Licensure required. Experience working with students of disabilities preferred and SEMI logging experience required.
The occupational therapist
- Valid New Jersey School Occupational Therapy Certificate, appropriate licenses and certification to practice occupational therapy in the public schools issued by the State Board of Examiners under rules and regulations prescribed by the State Board of Education.
- Knowledge of skill and ability to implement current occupational therapy practices and techniques.
- Ability to set up equipment and lifting, transferring and positioning students.
- Ability to work well with students, members of the school community and the general public in a patient and caring way, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters.
- SEMI logging experience required.
The physical therapist
- Valid New Jersey School Physical Therapy Certificate, appropriate licenses and certification to practice physical therapy in the public schools issued by the State Board of Examiners under rules and regulations prescribed by the State Board of Education.
- Knowledge of skill and ability to implement current physical therapy practices and techniques.
- Ability to set up equipment and lifting, transferring and positioning students.
- Ability to work well with students, members of the school community and the general public in a patient and caring way, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters.
- SEMI logging experience required.
The speech and language specialist
- Valid New Jersey Speech and Language Specialist
- Highly developed skills in:
- Assessment of students speech needs;
- Preparation of written reports;
- Communicating effectively with students and parents;
- Developing and implementing services designed to promote positive adjustment and effective learning
- Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters
- SEMI logging experience required
