Description The Madison Public Schools is seeking a talented Director of Pupil Personnel Services to assist in the continued development of specialized programs designed to engage and empower diverse learners. A diverse candidate pool is strongly desired.

Director of Special Services

Provide innovative leadership by administering and supervising the Pre K-12 Special Services program in compliance with State and Federal laws, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications:

Master’s Degree or Doctorate
Standard or CE School Administrator and/or Principal certification Plus: Standard LDTC, School Psychologist Certification, or Special Education Teacher certification
Prior Experience as a Special Services administrator
Child Study Team experience required
Construction of specialized programs for students
Observation of staff
Coordination of DLM assessment
Oversight of multi-sensory reading programs
Construction of masters schedules Prek-12
HIB Coordinator
Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence are essential
Principal certificate or higher
