Description BERGEN COUNTY SPECIAL SERVICES
ANNOUNCEMENT:  POSITIONS OPENING  

The Board of Education is seeking applications for the 2024-2025 school year for the following positions:

TEACHERS OF THE HANDICAPPED
(10 Months – Certificated)
AUTISM PROGRAMS

Qualifications:
  1. New Jersey DOE certificate - Teacher of the Handicapped or Teacher of Students with Disabilities (CE/CEAS or Standard).
  2. New Jersey DOE certificate - Elementary (CE/CEAS or Standard) and/or P-3.
  3. Experience working with autistic population, ABA and discrete trial – preferred.
  4. Ability to motivate students in a positive and creative learning environment.
  5. Willing and able to complete Crisis Prevention & Intervention training.Willingness to obtain CDL – preferable.
  6. New Jersey residence within one (1) year from date of hire.
