  • Maintaining and Organizing Materials and Equipment
    • Manage art supplies and equipment, ensuring that students have access to the necessary materials.
  • Art knowledge, technique, and practice
  • Participation in School and Org-wide family events
  • Provides individual and group instruction designed to meet individual needs and engage scholars.

  • Classroom Culture:
    • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters creativity and collaboration
  • Art Exhibitions and Events:
    • Organize and showcase students' artwork in at least 2 exhibitions or events to celebrate their achievements.
    • Ensure participation in art-related competitions and contests.
  • Instructional Model:
    • Create a structured and progressive learning experience for scholars of different ages and skill levels.
    • Develop and deliver standard-aligned lessons that encourage creativity and self-expression in scholars' artwork.
    • Evaluate scholars' artwork and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills.

Salary 

Foundation Academies offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position with yearly increases. The annual salary range for this position is $60,500 - $90,000.

  • 2+ years working in an urban or low-income setting preferred 
  • Must have a track record of measurable success and achievement.

Certifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent)
  • NJ certification in Teacher of Art
  • OR You have a minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.00 (if graduated after Sept 2015) or 2.75 (before Sept 2015) for NJ certification requirements
