Description Anticipated- School Business Administrator/Board Secretary at Mahwah Township Public School

Start Date: July 1, 2024

The successful candidate will exhibit:
  • Understanding of the principles and practices of financial accounting and reporting procedures consistent with statute, code and GAAP requirements.
  • Thorough knowledge of accepted business practices in school districts related to budget preparation and administration, insurance/risk administration, benefits and payroll administration, purchasing, transportation, food service, school plant operations and facility planning.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with various groups including administrative staff, teaching staff, Board members, community members and association leadership.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; competence in managing the business functions of a comprehensive K-12 school district.
  • Minimum of three successful years as a School Business Administrator.
  • Knowledge of Board Secretary responsibilities.
Additionally, successful candidate is required to hold New Jersey School Administrator Certificate.
