We’re looking for a dedicated and talented Paraprofessional to become part of our team. 

Here’s what you’ll be doing:

  • You’ll be serving students in Autistic Support, Emotional Support, Life Skills, and/or Specialized Learning Support classrooms
  • You’ll be participating in and supporting school events, activities, and programs, inside and outside of school hours.
  • You’ll be working closely with colleagues to build a cohesive school culture of success. 
  • You’ll be regularly analyzing data, monitoring progress and updating student performance trackers, and using that data to help guide their lesson plans.
  • You’ll be regularly and proactively updating families about student progress.

The salary for this position, which depends on prior work experience and our assessment of your fit for the role, will likely be between $34,000 - $42,500. Every paraprofessional is credited for each year of their educational support experience here at FA up to 10 years.

Qualifications

  • You preferably have 2+ years working in an urban or low-income setting and you understand how to get your students excited about learning. 
  • You are committed to living out our mission.
  • You have a minimum of 45 college credits (exclusive of any remedial or developmental credits) OR have passed the ETS ParaPro Assessment (minimum score of 456)

Supporting/Additional Documents Requested

  • Semifinalist candidates will be required to provide unofficial transcripts, evidence of certification/eligibility, and 3 professional references. 
  • Hired candidates are responsible for the following: official transcripts, criminal clearance (fingerprinting), and medical clearance (TB/Mantoux testing).
